Ed Hurtado comes from a diverse background with his father being from Chiriqui, Panama and his mother from Los Mochis, Mexico. Ed was born and raised in Southern San Diego, graduating from Southwest High and venturing off to Westmar University of Iowa on a football scholarship. He later transferred to the University of Minnesota Morris where he studied speech and communication. With his diverse culture, Ed has the ability to fluently communicate with both English and Spanish speakers. Ed married his high school sweetheart, Patty Guerrero and they now have two children… Daniel (aka Pollito – 10) and Ana (aka Kupcake – 5). You will most likely see Ed out in the La Mesa neighborhood coaching Pop Warner Football, Little League Baseball and supporting his children’s Kung Fu, basketball, and dance class extracurricular activities. Ed is known throughout his community for going above and beyond expectations. He is very easy going and relatable, which allows him to fully grasp each individuals wants and needs.
